Terry David Mulligan

The Wine Box on The BUZZ, Radio 1410
Terry David Mulligan is passionate about the music, the station and its listeners. He has always been a supporter of CKUA, calling it, "unquestionably the best radio station in
Canada." This is a great compliment given Terry's background and experience in media. There are very few Canadians, if any, who have achieved his level of success in both radio and television. He is also an accomplished film actor.
Terry David began his fascinating career in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, working in both Olds and Red Deer, Alberta. That's right, Terry was a Mountie!
Although he made an extremely dedicated servant to Queen and country, his stint as an RCMP officer only lasted four years. In 1964, he gave up his horse to ride the airwaves. TDM spent the next two decades as a DJ at such stations as CKRD, CFUN and CHUM.
He also programmed Canada's first underground FM station CKLG/FM now CFOX, hosted CBC's Great Canadian Goldrush and the nationally syndicated show, Discumentary.
For his exceptional work, Terry was named Canadian Announcer of the Year and VJ of the Year. He branched out from radio in the 1980's to share his musical expertise on CBC's first network video show, Good Rockin' Tonight. This led naturally to his post at MuchMusic, where he created, produced and hosted MuchWest for 14 years. More recently, Terry David was a host and segment producer of MT-Movie
Television (120 countries), and a Senior Segment Producer and interviewer for the Star! Canada's Entertainment Network and StarDaily!
Terry is also an actor. His film credits are impressive and include principal roles in such films as The Accused, Look Who's Talking Two and Mystery, Alaska, shot in Canmore, Alberta. He has also appeared on the X-Files, was a regular cast member on CTV's Robson Arms, CBC's These arms of mine and shot five years of Molson Golden commercials with John Candy, Dan Ackroyd, Andrea Martin and Gilda Radner.
TDM brings us Mulligan Stew from the renovated barn on the property near his wonderful old farmhouse set among the vineyards of Naramata, just up from
Penticton. Its from this barn that he hosts Mulligan Stew and his weekly 2 hour food and wine show The Tasting Room.
It is true that Terry has accomplished a lot in his career and certainly there is more to come, but there is nothing that Terry is more proud of than his family. Terry has four children and has been married to Meg for over 30 years.
