The central focal point of EAT! Vancouver is, without a doubt, the Food Network Celebrity Stage where celebrities will dazzle the audience with their amazing talent, wit and humor. Showcasing world tourism through regional food, cuisine, cooking, chefs, hospitality and beverages. The Grapes & Hops Presentation Stage will feature an impressive lineup of seminars, food pairings and wine tasting's with celebrities drawn from the world of wine and beer plus culinary and mixology experts. The Dairy Farmers of Canada will have cheese experts present a series of cheese seminars and tastings during the three days of the event. View the EAT! WE ARE GREEN AT HEART! We're making every effort to minimize EAT! Vancouver's impact on our environment. The 2011 EAT! Vancouver festival is bullfrogpowered with 100% green electricity. This means that Bullfrog Power will inject carbon-free green power onto the British Columbia electricity grid to match the amount of electricity used by this event. Bullfrog’s green power is sourced exclusively from wind power and low-impact hydro producers who meet or exceed the federal government's EcoLogoM standard for renewable energy. The Vancouver Convention Centre has a living roof, seawater heating and cooling, on-site water treatment and fish habitat built into the foundation of the West Building make it one of the "greenest" convention centres in the world. |
